Am I a whore? A shill? I state thee, “Nay!”
But I am assisting promote the new excursion by Counting Crows, featuring one of my preferred San Francisco artists, Michael Franti, as well as the band Augustana. When I saw Franti would join the tour, I just about crapped myself. I’ve been a fan of his for about 15 years now, considering that his days with Beatnigs as well as disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy. When I checked out that al three bands (and some special guests along the way) will play together, in addition to playing their own sets, I understood I had to be there.
The excursion promises to be a jam-filled party. Actually, Adam Duritz himself promises that in the press release:
“We want to provide fans a totally different show experience this summertime than they’ve been getting . . . We’re turning your typical show experience on its head. We’re going to go out on the road with a lot of our buddies as well as we’re all going to play shows together. No a lot more ‘too short’ sets from the bands you love.”
Tour dates are below, as well as the excursion site has a great deal of awesome stuff on it. Franti just ruptured his appendix, however swears he’ll be back on excursion in time for my show (Maryland, 9/5!). He much better be! (Although, in all honesty, it’s sufficient just to see Counting Crows, one of my all-time preferred online bands.)
So, I’ll state it again: Am I a whore? Well, I am publishing about this major-label band since I’m getting press tickets. however they have strong indie sensibilities, I genuinely like their music, as well as . . . Well, if this makes me a whore, I’m delighted about it. hope I get to see you all the show.
